Description
Grand Tour of Togo — Accompaniment and guided visits from Lomé to Kara and Kanté
15 days · Lomé, Kpalimé, Kara and Kanté · From €2,000 per person · 🗓️ Planned period: February to April
Discover Togo with a local guide through a 15-day programme, starting with Lomé and the coast, continuing around Kpalimé and, if conditions allow, ending in the Kara and Kanté areas. The accepted quotation confirms up to 7 guided visits and one included cultural workshop in art, crafts or cooking.
The 15 days describe the period over which your agreed visits are spread. You organise your stay yourself. TogoSunny’s price covers programme preparation, the agreed guide services and the cultural workshop. You independently choose, book and pay for accommodation, meals, transport and other travel services, except any elements expressly included in the workshop.
Guide attendance can be planned between arrival and departure, only on the days, at the times and for the durations specified in the quotation. It is not continuous or 24-hour accompaniment. Northern stops require confirmation of access, official travel advice and local conditions before booking.
What is planned
Planned period: February to April; exact dates, including the year, and guide availability are confirmed in writing before booking.
Duration: a 15-day visit programme; accompanied days, times and durations are stated in the quotation. No overnight accommodation is included.
Route: Lomé and its surroundings, then Kpalimé, followed by Kara and Kanté if the northern part is confirmed.
Guided visits: up to 7. The 12 ideas below are alternatives to choose from, not 12 promised visits. The final choices and timings are confirmed before booking.
Included workshop: one cultural workshop in art, crafts or cooking along the agreed route. Its activity, place, duration and included elements are specified in the quotation.
Accompaniment: guide attendance during the agreed visits and meetings; attendance on arrival or departure days applies only if expressly scheduled.
Languages: English and French, confirmed before booking. Basic Estonian is available for simple exchanges.
Included fees: programme preparation, TogoSunny’s service fees, the listed guides’ fees and the agreed cultural workshop.
Stop ideas to choose from
Lomé and its surroundings

Choose a guided introduction to the capital: Lomé Palace, the Independence Monument, the cathedral or local markets, depending on the accepted programme. The selected places and visit count are confirmed in advance.

Explore a coastal or lakeside stop selected with TogoSunny. Possibilities include the Slave House in Agbodrafo or a discovery around Togoville and Lake Togo. Transport, admission charges and boat crossings are arranged and paid for independently by you.
Kpalimé and its surroundings

Discover the Château Vial site and the hills around Kouma Konda, near Kpalimé. The agreed visit may include heritage and panoramic views, subject to weather and authorised access. Entry inside the building is not guaranteed.

Explore growing areas around Kpalimé, with the farmers’ agreement and according to the season. The quotation confirms the chosen farms or orchards and any planned encounters.

Choose one waterfall outing around Kpalimé or in the wider area, for example Kpimé, Womé or Yikpa. These two photos illustrate the approach and the waterfall, as one suggestion. Some routes can be long, steep or difficult: walking time, difficulty and access are confirmed before booking. Swimming is not promised.

Walk through village surroundings and mountain scenery on a route chosen for the group. Distance, duration and difficulty are agreed before booking. The summit is included only if expressly confirmed; the photo illustrates the landscapes, without guaranteeing the same viewpoint.

Discover plants and their use in local artistic traditions on a guided walk. Encounters or demonstrations depend on the accepted programme. Any hands-on paid workshop is included only if it is the one workshop specified in your quotation.

Choose one workshop with TogoSunny, such as batik, ceramics or local cooking. The place on the agreed route, activity, duration and any included materials or tasting are described in the quotation. One workshop is included; other activities are not automatically included.

Walk among local produce, fruit and fish stalls with your guide. Meet traders respectfully and discover everyday market life. Personal purchases are paid for separately.
The North: Kara, then Kanté and Koutammakou

A wildlife visit may be considered if local access and conditions are confirmed. Djamdè is the elephant-related option; Sarakawa is a separate wildlife park, not a promise of elephant sightings. The exact site and viewing arrangements are agreed in advance. Admission, park vehicles and other third-party services are paid for separately.

Koutammakou: the land of the Batammariba
If the northern route is confirmed, discover the Togolese part of Koutammakou, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape, with local hosts. Access to homes and photography require the residents’ agreement; the selected village and visit arrangements are confirmed before booking.

A hosted village encounter may include an archery demonstration or optional initiation, if offered and agreed with local hosts. The photo illustrates a possible activity, not a scheduled performance. Any paid initiation is outside the price and booked and paid for directly by you, unless expressly identified as the included cultural workshop.
These places are suggestions: only the sites listed in the final accepted programme are confirmed for your guided visits, subject to access and local conditions. The accepted programme sets the exact number of visits, up to 7, the selected places and access arrangements.
What is included in the confirmed price
The quotation specifies the accompaniment, guided visits and cultural workshop sold by TogoSunny. It includes:
