Along the banks of the Õhne river, under the trees of Sõpruse Park, Tõrva marks its hundredth summer this year — the whole town spills onto the street, a horse-drawn carriage rolls past, balloons drift in the breeze. Row after row of stalls stretch along the riverside, each tent with its own story. The TogoSunny tent stands right in the middle of the bustle, a small corner of West African drums and cloth at the heart of Mulgimaa.

About the festival
Tõrva Tule-Päevad (Tõrva Fire Days) is Mulgimaa’s biggest summer festival, joining forces this year with the Võnge music festival to celebrate Tõrva’s 100th anniversary as a town. A week of sport, concerts, guided tours and family events builds toward July 31 and August 1, when the Tõrva 100 suvelaat opens its stalls in Sõpruse Park and along the Õhne river — craftspeople and traders from across South Estonia meeting on the riverbank.
