On 26 September, Kopli lights up in African colour: at Sepikoja galerii, inside Põhjala tehas, dancers from Uganda and Ivory Coast, a DJ set and a live Afrobeats show by Nigerian artist Mabs power Estonia’s biggest African community celebration. Asambe Festival is Estonia’s biggest celebration of African culture — an evening of music, dance and food at Sepikoja galerii. Alongside TogoSunny’s djembé rhythms, the programme features Nigerian Afrobeats artist Mabs, dance performances by Jean Baptiste and Bogere (visiting from Uganda and Ivory Coast), a DJ set by DJ Yas Lo, Nigerian cuisine from Ify Kitchen, and hair braiding by Shola. Entrance is free. Asambe Festival is part of Tallinn’s National Cultures Days, running 19–27 September 2026.
