TogoSunny with African percussion, handicrafts and natural products at the Hiiu Folk festival

17–19 July 2026 · Käina, Hiiumaa

On the swing field of Käina, among Hiiumaa’s pines and the ring of the neighbouring blacksmith’s hammer, TogoSunny’s tent unfolds its wax prints amid Estonian craft. A télévi is weighed in the midday light, an evening lingers over a chair carved with turtles, while djembe drums answer the island’s old traditional tunes. For three July days, the whole island dances to a folklore shared between two continents.

About Hiiu Folk

Hiiu Folk is Hiiumaa island’s great traditional music festival, centred on the small town of Käina, with concerts reaching as far as Kassari and the island’s churches. Its accompanying market is held on Käina’s swing field: crafts, toys, jewellery and wooden goods sit alongside working blacksmiths, goats and archery, in a warm, family atmosphere. For its 2026 edition (17-19 July), the organisers specifically highlighted TogoSunny’s presence, bringing African percussion and Togolese craft into the heart of this island tradition.
